Lip filler is a hyaluronic acid gel injected directly into the lips to add volume, define the border, correct asymmetry, or soften vertical lip lines. It's not one-size-fits-all — a subtle hydration boost and a noticeably fuller pout use very different amounts and techniques, and your injector builds toward whichever look you're after.
Done well, no one knows you got it. Done poorly, everyone does. The whole game is technique — placement, ratio of upper to lower lip, how much product, how it's layered. That's what you're paying an injector for.

Lip filler starts around $500–$550 per syringe. Most first-time clients use one syringe; more can be added in a follow-up visit once you see how it settles.
Lips are more sensitive than most areas, but the filler itself contains lidocaine and we apply topical numbing beforehand. Most clients describe pressure and brief pinching rather than sharp pain.
Some swelling is normal for the first 1–3 days, occasionally longer. Bruising can happen but isn't guaranteed. Most clients plan lip appointments with a little buffer before events or photos.
You'll see volume immediately, though swelling can exaggerate the size for the first few days. The true, settled shape shows around 2 weeks. Results typically last 6–12 months.
That's entirely a matter of amount and technique, which is why the consult matters. Our injectors build gradually and can always add more at a follow-up — it's much harder to walk back an amount that's too much.

Safety, Side Effects & Aftercare
Hyaluronic acid lip filler has been used safely for decades. Side effects are typically mild and temporary, but it's worth knowing what to expect and who shouldn't get it.
Swelling, tenderness, and some bruising are common in the lips, more so than in other areas. These typically resolve within a few days to a week.
In rare cases, filler can be injected into or near a blood vessel, causing vascular compromise. This is why injector experience and technique matter enormously — it's uncommon with experienced injectors and treatable when caught early.
Lip filler is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, for anyone with a known allergy to the product's components, or for those with active cold sores or infections in the area. Your injector will review your history.
Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and excessive sun or heat for 24 hours. Ice in short intervals can help manage swelling. Avoid excessive lip movement (big smiles, straws) for the first day if you can.
