Dermal Filler in Los Angeles Expert Care, Natural Results
Lost volume, restored — cheeks, jawline, temples, under-eyes, and more. Treated by injectors who do this every day at LA's Top 1% Allergan-ranked medspa — three locations, one standard.
What Dermal Fillers Actually Do
Dermal fillers are gel-based treatments, most often made of hyaluronic acid (a substance your skin already produces), that restore volume where it's been lost or add structure where it's needed. Hollow cheeks, flattened temples, a soft jawline, tired under-eyes, thinning lips: filler adds the lift and contour that skin and bone alone no longer provide as we age.
Done well, no one knows you got it. Done poorly, everyone does. The whole game is technique which product, which depth, which amount, in which order. That's what you're paying an injector for.
Dermal Fillers at a Glance
Cheeks, temples, jawline, chin, under-eyes (tear troughs), nasolabial folds, marionette lines, lips, hands.
Most appointments take 30–45 minutes from consultation to walking out the door.
Minimal. You can return to work the same day. Some swelling or bruising can last 3–7 days depending on area.
Results are visible immediately. Final settling — once any swelling resolves — takes about 2 weeks.
Most fillers last 6–18 months depending on product and treatment area. Denser, structural fillers in the cheeks and jaw tend to last longer than softer fillers in the lips.
Mild to moderate discomfort. Most fillers include lidocaine to numb the area as they're injected, and topical numbing is available.
Filler is priced per syringe. Treatments typically range from $650–$900 per syringe depending on product and area.
Your Filler Appointment, Step by Step
-
CONSULT
Your injector assesses your facial structure, talks through your goals, and builds a plan how many syringes, which product, which areas.
-
PREP
A cleanse and topical numbing cream. Most areas benefit from about 15–20 minutes of numbing before injecting.
-
INJECT
Precise, layered injections to build volume and contour. Most sessions take 15–30 minutes of actual injecting.
-
GO
Walk out with visible results. Some swelling is normal and settles over the following days.
Top Filler Questions
Six questions almost every client asks. Tap to open.
Filler is priced per syringe, typically $650–$900 depending on the product and area treated. Most facial areas use 1–2 syringes per session; your injector quotes the total at consultation.
Most fillers contain lidocaine, which numbs the area as it's injected. We also use topical numbing cream beforehand. Most clients describe it as pressure and brief pinching rather than sharp pain.
Very little. Most clients return to normal activities the same day. Some swelling or bruising is common for the first few days, especially in the lips and under-eyes — this resolves on its own.
Results are visible right away, though initial swelling can make it look slightly more voluminous than the final outcome for the first week or two. Depending on the product and area, results typically last 6–18 months.
It depends on the area and the effect you want. Denser fillers like Restylane Lyft or Juvederm Voluma are built for structure in the cheeks and jaw; softer fillers like Juvederm Ultra or Restylane Kysse are built for lips. Your injector will match the product to your goals.
Yes, hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if you're unhappy with the result. This is one of the reasons HA fillers are considered a safer, more reversible option.

Safety, Side Effects & Aftercare
Hyaluronic acid fillers have been used safely in the U.S. for over two decades. Side effects are typically mild and temporary, but it's worth knowing what to expect and who shouldn't get them.
Temporary swelling, redness, tenderness, or bruising at injection sites — most resolve within a few days to a week.
In rare cases, filler can be injected into or near a blood vessel, causing vascular compromise. This is why injector experience and technique matter enormously — it's uncommon with experienced injectors and is treatable when caught early.
Filler is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, for anyone with a known allergy to the product's components, or for those with active skin infections in the treatment area. Your injector will review your history.
Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and excessive sun or heat exposure for 24 hours. Ice can help manage swelling. Avoid pressing or massaging the area unless your injector instructs otherwise.
