Let’s Spill Some Tea On Lip Fillers!

Tea On Lip

Have realistic expectations.

Leave Kylie Jenner’s photos at home! Everyone’s facial anatomy and shape are different. Yes, explaining to your provider what your expectations are but also having an open mind to their honest input is key. Finding a professional you trust is very important!

Filler isn’t forever.

One CC or one syringe is less than a teaspoon of material which may give you dramatic results at first but will dissolve with one’s metabolism. We’ve said this time and time again, longevity isn’t predictable. There really isn’t much anyone can do to prolong the filler since everyone’s metabolism is different. Some fillers are thicker than others and are known for long-lasting results. Speak to your provider to find the best filler for you.

Filler isn't forever

Start small.

Yes, we all have an ideal image in our head but it’s much easier building size and getting a feel for what you like and what suits you best. Allowing time in between treatments allows for correct placement and healing.

You will bruise.

Do you know that one saying, hope for the best but expect the worse? We have clients who leave with minimal bruising and swelling while others are bruised and swollen for up to two weeks. Our recommendation is to plan ahead and avoid fillers at least two weeks prior to any event.

Fillers aren’t cheap.

Most patients will get treatments at least 2-3 times per year with averaging costs of $450-900 per visit.

Most fillers are removable.

Juvederm, Restylane, Volbella & Voluma are all Hyaluronic acid-based fillers and can be dissolved using Hyaluronidase, an enzyme that melts away hyaluronic acid rapidly and safely.
